It’s still up to us

My heart is heavy. All those babies. Their families, the community. It’s impossible to make sense of it, because it makes no sense. 

I remind myself that any change is still up to us. We have done everything we can, and still there is more to do. Exercising our right to vote, calling our representatives, funding organizations.

But our greatest work is to keep our hearts open. To keep love alive.
