Everything, Everywhere, All at Once
This movie was a whole mood, but I promise, no spoilers here.
Other than to say, Michelle Yeoh is fantastic as both an immigrant daughter and an immigrant mother. And while the title could describe how we feel as immigrant daughters, the movie is well, about everything, everywhere.
I loved being back in a multiplex, reclining my chair, eating popcorn and holding in the need to pee instead of pausing the movie midway.
But what I really want to share is this one line:
Right is a tiny box invented by people who are afraid.
Doing what seems right to everyone else often takes the place of what feels right to us. I'll try to remember this line when my next tough decision comes up.
Seen the movie? Share what you think (remember, no spoilers!)
